New Tab
Open a new empty tab
Opens a blank tab in the current window. Useful when you want a fresh page without reaching for the mouse.
Close Tab
Close the current tab
Closes the tab you are currently viewing.
Close Other Tabs
Close all tabs except current
Closes every tab in the current window except the one you are on.
Close Tabs to Right
Close all tabs to the right
Closes all tabs positioned to the right of the current tab. Handy for cleaning up after a research trail.
Close Tabs to Left
Close all tabs to the left
Closes all tabs positioned to the left of the current tab.
Duplicate Tab
Create a copy of current tab
Creates an exact copy of the current tab, including scroll position and form state. Bind a shortcut via chrome://extensions/shortcuts.
Reload Tab
Refresh the current tab
Refreshes the current page. For a hard refresh that also clears the cache, use Clear Cache & Reload (Developer Mode).
Pin/Unpin Tab
Toggle pin state of current tab
Pinned tabs are smaller, stuck to the left side of the tab bar, and survive accidental "Close Other Tabs" actions.
Mute/Unmute Tab
Toggle audio for current tab
Silences or restores audio for the current tab. The tab keeps playing — only audio output is toggled.
Mute Other Tabs
Silence audio in all tabs except current
Mutes every other tab in the window. Useful when multiple tabs are playing audio and you want to focus on one.
Move to New Window
Move current tab to a new window
Detaches the current tab into its own window. Useful for side-by-side work or moving a tab to another display.

Move current tab to another window
Shows a list of open windows and moves the current tab into whichever one you select.
Rename Tab
Set a custom name for this tab
Gives the tab a custom title that persists across reloads. Useful for distinguishing multiple tabs from the same site. Also available via Alt+R shortcut.
Reset Tab Name
Remove custom name
Removes the custom name and restores the original page title.
Reopen Closed Tab
Restore the last closed tab
Restores the most recently closed tab using Chrome's session restore, preserving history and scroll position.
Close Duplicate Tabs
Close tabs with the same URL
Finds tabs with identical URLs and closes the duplicates, keeping the first occurrence of each.
Switch to Audio Tab
Jump to the tab playing sound
Instantly switches to the tab that is currently playing audio. Great for finding that tab with music or a video.
Suspend Tab
Unload current tab to free memory
Suspends the current tab, freeing its memory while keeping it in the tab bar. The tab reloads when you switch back to it.
Suspend Other Tabs
Unload all other tabs to free memory
Suspends every other tab in the current window, freeing memory. Active, pinned, and audible tabs are skipped.
Cycle Through Recent Tabs
MRU switch to recently used tabs
⌥S
Jumps to your most recently used tab. Press again to cycle further back through recent tabs (MRU), like Alt+Tab for browser tabs.
Recent Tabs
Show recent tab switcher overlay
Shows an overlay of your recently visited tabs. Use arrow keys to browse, number keys to jump, Enter to go, Escape to cancel.

Shows your last 50 visited tabs with timestamps. Open tabs show a green icon; closed ones show red with a "Closed" badge. Press Opt+K for sub-actions.

Multi-select ungrouped tabs from same domain (Shift+Enter = all)
Selects all ungrouped, unpinned tabs matching the current tab's domain. Hold Shift+Enter to include grouped and pinned tabs too.

Reorders all tabs in the current window alphabetically by their page title.

Reorders all tabs in the current window alphabetically by their full URL.

Groups tabs by domain so all tabs from the same website sit next to each other.

Create tab groups for each domain
Creates a named tab group for each domain, auto-colored. Tabs from github.com get a "github.com" group, etc.
Group Child Tabs
Group all tabs opened from this page
Finds all open tabs that were opened from the current tab (e.g. links clicked in a newsletter) and groups them together. The group is named after the current tab.

Create group from selected tabs
Creates a new tab group from the currently selected tabs. You'll be prompted to name and color the group.

Add the current tab to an existing group
Shows a list of open tab groups and adds the current tab to whichever one you select. If no groups exist, you can create one on the spot.
Switch Group...
Jump to an open tab group
Shows a list of all tab groups across windows. Select one to switch to its first tab.
Rename Group
Rename the current tab group
Changes the name of the tab group that the current tab belongs to.
Ungroup Tabs
Remove current tabs from their group
Removes the current tab (or selected tabs) from their group without closing them.
Delete Group...
Delete a group and close its tabs
Shows a list of groups. Selecting one closes all its tabs and deletes the group.
Move Group to New Window
Move current group to its own window
Detaches the current tab group into its own window, keeping the group intact.
Pull Group to This Window...
Move a group from another window to here
Lists groups in other windows. Select one to pull it into the current window.

Save all tabs in the current window as a named space
Saves all tabs in the current window as a named Space you can restore later. Preserves Chrome tab group membership so restoring rebuilds the groups too.

Save the current tab group as a named space
Saves just the tabs in the current tab group as a Space. Only available when the current tab is in a group.

Browse and restore saved spaces
Shows all saved Spaces. Selecting one restores the tabs (and groups) it contains. Use Opt+K on a space to rename or delete it.

Add URL Alias
Create a shortcut to a URL
Creates a keyword shortcut for a URL. Type the keyword in the palette to instantly navigate — e.g. "gh" opens github.com.

Remove a URL shortcut
Shows your aliases and removes the selected one.

Copy current page URL to clipboard

Copies the full URL of the current page to your clipboard. Also available via Alt+C shortcut.

Copy all tab URLs as a list
Copies every open tab URL in the current window as a newline-separated list.
Open a List of URLs
Opens each as a background tab
Opens a box to paste URLs into, one per line, and opens each as a background tab. Only http/https URLs are opened.

Search your downloads by filename
Opens a search view of your download history. Type to filter by filename. Press Opt+K on a result for sub-actions (open, reveal, delete).
Recent Downloads
View your recent downloads
Shows your last 10 downloads with progress bars for active transfers. Pause, resume, or cancel in-progress downloads.
Clear Download History
Erase all download history
Clears the browser's download history. Files on disk are not deleted.
Open Downloads Folder
Open the default downloads folder
Opens your system's default downloads folder in Finder (Mac) or Explorer (Windows).
Content Export

Download, copy, or send to Obsidian
Converts the current page to clean Markdown. Press Opt+K to choose: download as .md file, copy to clipboard, or send to Obsidian.

Downloads all helm settings (renames, spaces, aliases, theme, preferences) as a JSON file for backup or transfer.

Load settings from JSON file
Loads settings from a previously exported JSON file. Replaces current settings.
Reset helm to defaults
Clear all settings and start fresh
Erases all helm data — renames, spaces, aliases, themes, everything. This cannot be undone.

Pins the current tab to the Quick Links grid on Mission Control (the new-tab page). Switches Quick Links to Smart mode if needed so the pin shows.
